The American broker Interactive Brokers (IBKR) has introduced restrictions for Russia and Belarus due to the sanctions of the European Union (EU). It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the company’s statement.
It is noted that in order to comply with the restrictions, service customers who are citizens or residing in these countries, as well as legal entities, will no longer be able to open new long or short positions with EU securities.
Restrictions come into force at the end of the working day on Monday, June 13, clarified in IBKR.
Earlier it became known that Roskomnadzor blocked the British website of the well-known American broker Interactive Brokers in Russia. The regulator said that the reason was the publication of false data.
