Australian actor Hugh Jackman has tested positive for coronavirus after performing at the Tony Awards. He announced this on his Instagram (a social network banned in the Russian Federation; owned by Meta, a recognized extremist organization and banned in Russia).

The artist noted that due to illness he would not be able to participate in the production of The Musician on Broadway, so he would be replaced by Max Clayton. “The most annoying thing is that I can’t see his performance! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a million times more: Max and the understudies around the world, you are the real heroes of the theater. You bring to life the saying “The show must go on,” Jackman said.

In December 2021, the actor was also diagnosed with coronavirus. Then Jackman noted that the symptoms are very similar to a cold. “Just wanted you to hear it from me. My symptoms are similar to a cold: I have a sore throat and a slight runny nose, but I’m fine, ”said the actor. He added that he would do everything to get back to work as soon as possible.
