British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is ready to resign if members of the government decide to end support for Ukraine due to significant economic costs. He stated this in an interview with the BBC.

“If I were to face the fact that we have to abandon Ukraine because [the situation] is getting too complicated and the cost of supporting the Ukrainians in their heroic freedom struggle is too high in terms of inflation and damage to the [British] economy, I would think that I conceded the dispute, and I would have left. But I don’t see this, ”the head of government called the fundamental reason.

Earlier in June, more than half of the people of Britain were in favor of the resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson. So, 59 percent of the participants in the Opinium poll believe that MPs from the Conservative Party should vote for Johnson’s resignation.

Calls to step down have been made again and again against Johnson after a number of British media published information about parties held by the prime minister during the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The politician was accused of violating quarantine measures, and an investigation was launched against him. Although Johnson was found guilty of violating the law, he limited himself to paying a fine and did not resign.
