Foreign brands producing luxury goods have announced the closure of their outlets in Russia. Kommersant writes about this, citing its sources.

Luxury goods company Mercury will close its outlet at the Moscow Metropolis shopping center on July 1. The same measures will apply to the point in Afimall, but the press service of the organization denied this fact. It is clarified that the lack of assortment is not the reason for the mentioned decision. At the same time, employees do not comment on the supply problem.

According to one of the sources of the publication, other luxury retailers, in particular, Bosco Outlet, found themselves in a similar situation. Nevertheless, officials note that the stores do not experience difficulties associated with a shortage of goods and continue to work as usual.

Earlier in June, representatives of a large Italian concern found an unusual way to import goods from luxury brands to Russia, which suspended their activities in the country. Foreigners offered to deliver clothes “in parts”, that is, to declare buttons, belts and other details of the goods separately, after cutting them off from the clothes.
