S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl by GSC Game World may release in December 2023. An estimated release date for the title appeared on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on Steam.

The game was originally scheduled to be released on December 8, 2022. On the game’s page in the Xbox store, the release date has not been changed. The developer did not comment on the changes.

In May, Player One reported that GSC Game World had resumed work on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The developers announced this in the official Discord channel.
In April, the publication DTF, citing a conference in Discord, announced that the release date of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl remains the same.

Earlier in April, the developers announced that all owners of digital pre-orders of the game from Russia will receive their copy.
